Synopsis:
A wife and mother is stressed and unhappy with her life until she discovers that she has to help save the world from an evil villain: her daughter in a parallel universe.
I have a confession. I am not as enamored by this movie as everyone else in the entire world.
Hear me out.
I didn't hate it. I liked it. And I mean I LIKED it. I did not lose my mind over it.
It was an interesting movie with an actress that I love (Michelle Yeoh), and with an interesting plot. But my mind was not blown.
I don't know if that is because I have already co-signed on the idea of parallel universes or I am a huge SciFi fan - as well as quirky and fantasy movies.
Either way, I had a general enjoyment of the movie, but I feel like I'm missing the bus somewhere along the way.
All this being said, it would be nice if Michelle Yeoh wins the Best Actress competition. If this movie wins Best Picture, it will only mean that I really have to rewatch this movie.
Don't worry, I will rewatch it anyway! I will revisit this topic at a later date.
